Information for presenters

On August 31-September 4, 2025 the XIX Conference of the European Ceramic Society takes place in Dresden, Germany. The conference will include a highly selective technical program consisting of invited lectures, contributed papers and posters.

All accepted abstracts will be included in the program of the ECerS 2025.

The official conference language will be English, simultaneous interpreting will not be provided.

Please note that travel expenses or registration fees cannot be reimbursed by the conference organizers.

 

To submit your abstract, please register first. In the second step, you can add your abstract text directly in the submitting form.

  • Abstract must be written in English
  • Max. 6 authors
  • Max. 1500 characters
  • No uppercase letters for the title or equations in the text
  • Your abstract will not be proofread prior to publication in the abstract volume

Details for oral presentations

The allocated time to each talk is usually 20 minutes (15 minutes for presentation plus 5 minutes for discussion).

Speakers and session chairs are requested to strictly adhere to this schedule in order to finish sessions on time and to permit participants to move successfully from one parallel session to another.

All conference rooms will be equipped with a computer projection system (LCD projector and PC with Windows, Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Reader). Speakers are asked to visit the “Speaker ready room” to provide their presentation for the talk on CD or USB stick and to test whether their presentation runs on the provided computer system. The “Speaker ready room” is allocated in the conference venue and is open during the entire conference.

Speakers are required to meet with their session chairpersons in the scheduled conference room at least 10 minutes before the beginning of the session. It is not possible to use the own computer! For all technical questions a local staff member will be available to help.

Details for poster presentations

Posters should be at most 841 mm (33,11") wide x 1189 mm (46,81") high (DIN A0). There are no further requirements for the poster design.

Please hand over your printed poster during the Registration in the organization office of the conference venue. The last possibility to bring a poster is Monday, September 1, 2025 at 10:00 a.m.

The poster session will take place in the exhibition area of the conference venue on Monday, September 1, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Authors are required to be present at their posters during the poster session in order to discuss their work with other conference attendees. The best poster will be awarded.

Subject areas for the poster session will be clearly marked and poster boards will be numbered with a card corresponding to the number of the poster abstract.

Fingerfood and drinks will be offered during the poster session.
